Every Instyle Glass Frameless Shower Screen is designed and constructed in accordance with Australian Standards AS1288-1994:Glass in Buildings and AS2208-1996 Safety glazing materials in buildings.

All glass used in our shower screens is A grade toughened safety glass, which is manufactured using state of the art glass cutting and processing technology.

Our extensive range of door hinges and handles are the finest available and are sure to impress the most discerning us to satisfy the most hardware used in our shower screens is made from the finest quality material available and manufactured to the highest industry standards.

Our handles are manufactured using the same high quality material and exacting standards as our hinges. With over 35 standard styles and sizes of handles to choose from, we have a handle to suit all tastes. For those of you with something different in mind we can also supply custom made handles to suit your requirements.

Standard finishes available on all our hardware are, polished Chrome, satin Chrome, 24k Gold plated, Almond Ivory and white. (Other power coated colours also available on request.)

All Instyle Glass Frameless Shower Screens are designed and installed using our mould reducing channel fixing method of installation. This fixing method gives greater strength, a more sleek and steamlined appearance,while at the same time significantly reducing the growth of unsightly mould.

Reduce Mould

Significantly reduce unsigtly Mould and Bacteria growth

Mould and harmfull bacteria thrive in damp areas such as bathrooms; especially around shower screens where silicone sealant is used to create a barrier to stop water leakage. Unfortunately there is nothing that will stop mould from growing in these areas permanently, so creating a mould resistant enviroment is very important. Good ventilation is the key to reducing mould in confined spaces. Large opening windows and exhaust fans can greatly reduce the spread of mould and bacteria in these areas and should be considered when building or renovating a bathroom.

Our discreet Channel mounting method of shower installation significantly reduces visible mould growth when compared to Bracket or Clip fitting methods. This reduction is achieved by placing an almost invisible water seal between the back of the mounting channel and the tiled surface, eliminating any unnecessary silicone sealant from around the perimeter of the screen.

When Bracket or Clip fittings are used, gaps of up to 10mm between the glass and tiled surface are filled with silicone to create a water barrier. The silicone then becomes a fully visible breeding ground for mould and bacteria. In most cases mould grows between the silicone and tiled surface and is therefor impossible remove. In as little as six months mould can be seen growing rapidly around the screen even when anti-fungal or mould resistant silicones are used.

With our Channel mounting method of shower screen installation, the amount of silicone used is reduced significantly but more importantly any mould growth that occurs is hidden behind the channel and does not become an eyesore in years to come.

Our mounting channel is made from corrosion resistant anodised aluminium and is available in polished silver, polished gold or can be powder coated to yor specifications.

Double Water Seal

Although it is imposible to guarantee any frameless shower screen door against leakage, we use the most effective door seal components available on all our shower screen doors.

Our door seal components consist of a combination PVC and rubber preasure strip splash guard and anodised aluminium water Bar.

The 10mm x 10mm water Bar is fixed to the floor directly under the door to act as a barrier to stop water running out of the shower under the door. The Bar creates a dam like effect which holds the water in and forces it back to the floor waste (drain.)

The flexible PVC and Rubber splash guard fits tightly over the top of the water Bar creating a double seal. The inverted flexible rubber flap allows the door to be opened in both directions with little resistance and is positioned on the outside of the door so that any water splashing under the door is forced back to the inside of the shower.

Hinges

Our hinges are manufactured using solid brass and stainless steel components and are able to rotate 180 degrees which allows the shower screen door to be opened both inwards and outwards. This function is ideal in situations where limited space is an issue inside the bathroom. With around 30 different styles of hinges available, and custom hinges available on request, we are able to design our shower screens to suit any situation.
We have around 30 different styles of standard Hinges available and custom made hinges available on request. All our hinges are available with square corners as shown above, or with subtle Euro style rounded corners.
